Established in 1935 and a leading commercial window and door contractor has an opening for an individual in its Service Division. This person would be a field mechanic who installs, services, and repairs commercial doors.Established in 1935 and Central Pennsylvania’s leading commercial glass and aluminum contractor has openings in its Large Contract Division. These individuals will be fabricating aluminum storefronts, curtainwall, entrances, and metal panels. All of Hershocks employees have the long‐term opportunity to advance in the field or fabrication operations. Many of the Hershocks current management positions are filled by individuals who began in the field or fabrication operations.

Responsibilities:
● Maintain parts stock in service vehicle
● Installation and service of Commercial door and hardware
● Installation and service of automatic pedestrian doors
● Installation and service of electronic door hardware and equipment
● Carry a pager on a rotating basis in order to respond to emergency calls
● Be a good representative for Hershocks to our customers
● Conduct vehicle inventory when requested
● Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
● Valid PA Driver’s License
● Passing post‐offer employment physical which includes drug testing
● Have current PA Criminal History and Child Abuse Clearance
● Two years of experience as a Door Service Mechanic doing comparable type work
● Prior completion of AAADM automatic door training a plus
● Be a team player with the rest of the Hershocks staff

This person would be in training to become a field mechanic to install, service, and repair commercial doors. The individual will be teamed up with an experienced Door Service Mechanic with the goal of being able to fulfill the listed responsibilities after a six to twelve-month training period.

● Reading and interpreting shop drawings, blue prints and manufacturer’s instructions
● Utilizing oral and written instructions to determine size, shape, and type of material to use
● Installing and adjusting hardware on doors and frames
● Cutting, fitting, and assembling material in accordance with manufacture’s specifications
● Operating forklift and side loader to move material from storage to production area
● Operating shear and folder to fabricate various break metal shapes from various metal stock
● Fabricating various composite panels from flat stock
● Unloading material from trucks by means of forklift, side loader and manual labor
● Understanding and following of OSHA regulations
● Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
● High school diploma or GED
● Valid PA Driver’s License
● Must be at least 18 years of age
● Passing post‐offer employment physical which includes drug testing
● Proven experience fabricating aluminum storefront, curtainwall, and entrances

Responsibilities:
● Installation of curtain wall, storefront, and architectural metal panels
● Reading manufacturer instructions and executing details for specific manufacturers’ systems
● Proper and safe use of scissor lifts, boom lifts, scaffold and swing stage
● Understanding and following of OSHA regulations
● Reading blueprints to determine location of aluminum framing
● Determining plumb of walls or ceilings by using plumb lines, levels, and level transit
● Cutting and installation of metal sashes and/or moldings
● Fasten glass units into sashes or frames with clips or moldings
● Secure mirrors in position using mastic, putty, or mechanical fasteners
● Transporting material to job site and loading material onto proper floor
● Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
● At least 2 years of experience as a Glazier performing the responsibilities as detailed above
● High school diploma or GED
● Valid PA Driver’s License
● Must be at least 18 years of age
● Passing post‐offer employment physical which includes drug testing
● Able to pass PA Criminal History and Child Abuse Clearance background checks
